Copenhagen hotels - A place to stay for any budget
There are a lot of good Copenhagen hotels and the standard is generally good. Obviously having lived here all of my life I know most of the hotels - however, I have actually only stayed as a guest in a few of them.. but below you'll find a handful of those hotels that I personally can recommend for various reasons.
On this page you'll find info about •
5 Copenhagen hotels
- that I know from personal experience • A 5 star hostel • A good mid-priced non-smoker hotel •

• or how to rent a private room • A few wonderful De Luxe hotels
General tips: Look for your Copenhagen hotels deals online before travelling to Denmark. Why? Because with a click of a mouse in most cases you get better deals than if you wait until you get there - or even talk to them in person. This is mainly due to the minimum expenses for the hotels when booking online. If you are flexible on dates you can get even better deals. Besides - it's a great feeling to know upon arriving that you can just relax and go straight to your already reserved hotel room. Some of the smaller Copenhagen hotels are family run which can add a nice ambience to the place. Others simply fulfill their function as a comfortable inexpensive place to stay and some have a bit of style or atmosphere beyond the usual.
My 5 best experiences with Copenhagen hotels Being a guest in my home town is a funny feeling. From time to time though it has been a relief just to check in at a hotel. I have gathered a handful of 3- and 4-star hotels and bed and breakfasts in Copenhagen. You can find other places that are just as good, but these are places where I have stayed myself.

Allow me to present a specialty ..
For people who appreciate a non smoking environment since no smoking accomodation in Denmark is still the exception - I haven't actually stayed here myself - but I always hear very good things about it. Check out their website for pictures and rates.
Comfort Hotel Esplanaden Denmark's first non-smoking accommodation is of course a Copenhagen hotel. But this is by far not the only thing there is to say about this high standard hotel. It's a lovely old building newly renovated in an absolutely super location - right between The Royal Palace, The Little Mermaid and "Nyhavn" New Harbour.

How to rent a private room in Copenhagen Perhaps you'd like to consider renting a private room for your stay in the Danish capital instead of investing in one of the a regular Copenhagen hotels? It can certainly be a very nice experience if you wanna meet the Danes and stay at affordable prices.
This option will give you an impression of how it is to live as a Copenhagener. There are many privately owned rooms being available for shorter and sometimes longer time periods. Some hosts are offering several rooms or even a whole flat for your stay.
Prices vary quite a bit and so do the various kinds of offers. The different areas each add their own flair to rooms or flats. Click below and you will find an overview map of privately let Bed & Breakfasts in Copenhagen.
Tip: Best areas are the ones closest to the coast such as "Copenhagen K", "Christianshavn", "Østerbro", and a bit further north "Hellerup" and the gorgeous areas "Skovshoved" or "Tårbæk". Inland the nicest areas are "Frederiksberg" and certain parts of "Nørrebro". Symbol with 2 persons means price of a double room.

A few wonderful De Luxe Copenhagen Hotels
Okay hang on ... if best location and excellent service is paramount - here's what I recommend:
Hotel D'Angleterre This exquisite 5 star hotel right at Kongens Nytorv - THE most central and beautiful location in Copenhagen. This has it all.. almost.. and you pay for it. But check their offers. From time to time they go crazy and have an offer you can actually pay - then is your chance.

Copenhagen Admiral Hotel An outstanding place at the water front, with a very special ambience in the heart of the old town centre - situated right at the Copenhagen harbour. They have great offers which include addtional services like a trip to the Opera House just across the Harbour Canal or a trip to Tivoli Gardens. You can easily walk to everything from here within a short time. The beauty of this part of the city is unique.

Hotel Radisson Scandinavia The tallest of all the Copenhagen hotels is also Denmarks biggest with 527 rooms and 26 floors. But also with a very high standard and service level. Situated on the banks of the old moats going around the oldest part of Copenhagen, there is a wonderful view from most rooms.
